Welcome from the Director
Hello and welcome to the Public Works Division of the City of Jonesboro. The Public Works Department is responsible providing citizens with a variety of services, some of which are: landscaping, road repair, maintenance of the city cemetery, signage and right of way work. We strive to promote a community that is safe and clean.
About the Public Works Director
Brandon Hermsmeier is a native of Griffin, Georgia and attended Spalding High School. Upon completion of High School, Brandon moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma to attend Tusla Welding School were he received a degree in Welding Technology. After graduation, Brandon spent a lot of time furthering his career by learning many other trades to include plumbing, electrical, mechanics and building maintenance. Brandon has been an employee of the City of Jonesboro since December 2014. When Brandon is not at work he enjoys spending time with his two children: Harper and Garrett. Brandon and his wife Candace have been married for six years. Brandon received his appointment of Interim Public Works Director in July of 2021.
