    Welcome to the City of Jonesboro Department of Public Works!

    On behalf of our entire team, I am pleased to welcome you to our department. Whether you are a new resident, a long-time valued resident, or a collaborative partner, we are excited to have you as part of our community. Our department is comprised of 1 Director, 5 General Laborers, and 3 Sanitation Workers. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for our community by providing responsive, efficient, and cost-effective services that exceeds the expectations of our community. We are dedicated to maintaining and enhancing the infrastructure that supports our daily lives.

    The Department of Public Works plays a vital role in ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and functionality of our public spaces. From emergency response, leaf & limb pick up, road maintenance, sanitation services, bulk pick up, park maintenance, landscaping, rights-of-way maintenance, event set up & take down, MS4 reporting, facility management, fleet management, roadway signage, and cemetery maintenance. Our work directly impacts the well-being of our community.

    We take great pride in delivering high-quality services with integrity, professionalism, and a strong sense of civic duty. Your involvement helps us continue to meet the growing needs of the public and deliver innovative solutions to infrastructure challenges.

    Our operating hours vary by season:

    Spring-Summer: 6:30 am - 3:00 pm
    Fall-Winter: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
