Sanitation and Yard Waste Services for the City of Jonesboro are provided by Robertson Sanitation / United Waste, Inc thru a contract. Please read below for more details on this service. If your question is not answered below please call City Hall at 770-478-3800.

RESIDENTIAL

  • Question: How much is the service and what is included?

    Answer: Residential services are $13.00 a month. The service is billed quarterly in advance. For $13.00 a month citizens receive curbside trash pickup, yard waste service, and recycling.
     

  • Question: How do I start or stop my service? 

    Answer:     Call Robertson Sanitation, Inc. at 770-944-4974 8am to 5pm, M-F.
     

  • Question: What day will my trash be picked up? 

    Answer: Residential trash will be picked up on Tuesday.  The residential service is curbside.  You will need to roll your trash container to the curb prior to 7:00 a.m. on the day of your pickup.

  • Question: How does the Yard Waste service work?

    Answer: The yard waste service is provided for all citizens on Wednesdays.

    1) All lawn clippings and leaves must be bagged in the brown biodegradable bags that you can buy at stores like Home Depot or Walmart.
    2) Limbs CAN NOT be bigger than 4 inches in diameter or 4 ft in length.
    3) Limbs CAN NOT be placed in large out of control stacks. They must be neatly stacked by the curb. There are limitations on the volume of what Robertson Sanitation will pickup. Yard waste must not be larger than one truck hopper or three cubic yards. It also CAN NOT exceed 40 pounds in weight.

     

COMMERCIAL

     In order to provide businesses with a better rate and protect the infrastructure of the City of Jonesboro any business located within the City of Jonesboro is required to use United Waste/Robertson Sanitation, Inc for any sanitation services they may have. To start or stop service please call 770-944-4974 8am to 5pm, M-F. Basic services for business start at $20.00 a month for a hand cart and range from $34.38 a month and up for a dumpster.
