CITY OF JONESBORO

COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES

MAY 18th, 2010

The City of Jonesboro Mayor and Council held a Called Council meeting on Tuesday, May 18, 2010. The meeting was held at 6:00 p.m. at the Jonesboro Police Station, 170 South Main Street Jonesboro, Georgia.

Council Present: Luther Maddox, Mayor

Clarence Mann, Councilmember

Roger Grider, Councilmember

Wallace Norrington, Councilmember

Joe Compton, Councilmember

Pat Sebo, Councilmember

Bobby Wiggins Councilmember

Staff Present: Janice Truhan City Clerk, Interim Chief Wayne Woods, Sgt. Andrew Hammond, and Steve Fincher – City Attorney.

Mayor Maddox called the meeting to order.

Mayor Maddox called for a motion to enter Executive Session. Motion made to enter Executive Session. Approved. [Motion: Norrington, 2^nd: Compton, Vote: Unanimous].

Mayor Maddox called for a motion to resume the Called meeting. Approved. [Motion: Compton, 2nd: Grider, Vote: Unanimous].

Motion was made to reinstate Officer Heather May, by resolution. Failed. [Motion: Compton, 2^nd: Grider, Vote: Yea – Compton, Mann, Grider; Nay – Wiggins, Sebo, Norrington with Mayor Maddox breaking the tie].

Mayor Maddox called for a motion to adjourn. Approved. [Motion: Grider, 2^nd: Mann, Vote: Unanimous].
