CALLED COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES

SEPTEMBER 23, 2008

The City of Jonesboro Mayor and Council held a Called Council meeting on Tuesday, September 23^rd, 2008. The meeting was held at 3:00 p.m. at Jonesboro City Hall 124 North Avenue.

Council Present: Luther Maddox, Mayor

Clarence Mann, Councilmember

Roger Grider, Councilmember

Billy Powell, Councilmember

Rick Yonce, Councilmember

Bobby Wiggins, Councilmember

Staff Present: Janice Truhan, Chief Wayne Rowland, Joe Nettleton, Brad Johnson and

Public Present: Mr. Ed Wise

Mayor Maddox called the meeting to order.

The Council considered the following items A – B on the Agenda:

A. Considered public address system for the Jonesboro Firehouse Museum and Community

Room. Discussion ensued related to vendor qualifications and equipment installation.

Approved. [Motion: Wiggins, 2^nd: Grider, Vote: Unanimous]

B. Considered authorizing Mayor Maddox and City Clerk to sign FFY 2007 Clayton County

Community Development Block Grant program Sub-recipient agreement. Discussion ensued

related to agreement requirements. Approved. [Motion: Yonce, 2^nd: Wiggins, Vote:

Unanimous].

Considered motion to adjourn. Approved. [Motion: Mann, 2^nd: Powell, Vote:

Unanimous].
