CALLED COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES

AUGUST 22, 2009

The City of Jonesboro Mayor and Council held a Called Council meeting for the purposes of considering replacement of the air conditioning system at Jonesboro Police Department -170 South Main Street, and considering modification to City Hall to meet ADA compliance on Saturday, August 22nd, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. The meeting was held at 170 South Main Street Jonesboro.

Council Present: Luther Maddox, Mayor

Clarence Mann, Councilmember - Absent

Roger Grider, Councilmember

Billy Powell, Councilmember

Rick Yonce, Councilmember

Bobby Wiggins, Councilmember

Wallace Norrington, Councilmember

Staff Present: Janice Truhan,

Mayor Maddox called the meeting to order.

The Council considered the following items 1 - 3 on the Agenda:

1. Considered authorizing expenditure for repair of air conditioning unit at Jonesboro Police

Department. Motion to award to Timco with five year warranty. Approved. [Motion:

Wiggins, 2^nd: Grider, Vote: Unanimous].

2. Considered authorizing expenditure to make Jonesboro City Hall ADA compliant for

Advanced and Absentee voting per, Secretary of State requirements. Motion made to approve

Mayor to expend $2,500 for City Hall ADA compliance. [Motion: Norrington, 2^nd: Grider,

Vote: Unanimous]

3. Considered motion to adjourn. Approved. [Motion: Grider, 2^nd: Norrington, Vote:

Unanimous].
