BUDGET WORK SESSION AND
CALLED MEETING
OCTOBER 30, 2006 

FOLLOWING A BUDGET WORK SESSION MAYOR DAY CALLED THE OCTOBER 30, 2006 MEETING TO ORDER.

 The City of Jonesboro Mayor and Council held a CALLED MEETING on Monday, October 30, 2006.  The meeting was held at 6:00pm at 170 South Main Street. 

            COUNCIL PRESENT:         Councilman Clarence Mann
                                                            Councilman Luther Maddox
                                                            Councilman Bobby Wiggins
                                                            Councilwoman Linda Wenz
                                                            Councilman Rick Yonce
                                                            Mayor Joy Day 

                    STAFF PRESENT:        Public Works Director Sam Durrance
                                                            Interim Police Chief Wayne Rowland          
                                                            City Attorney Jon Kendall 

ROLLBACK RESOLUTION/MILLAGE RAGE:  After discussion of the reassessments and consideration of millage rates, Councilman Maddox made a motion to adopt a rollback on the city millage rate from 12.76 to 2.00 millage rate with a rollback of 10.76 mills.  Councilwoman Wenz seconded the motion.  The motion was unanimously approved. 

Councilman Maddox made a motion to authorize the Mayor to sign the rollback resolution as approved of 2.00 mills.  Councilwoman Wenz seconded.  The motion carried unanimously. 

There being no further business; Councilman Mann made a motion to adjourn.  Councilwoman Wenz seconded.  The motion carried unanimously.  The meeting was adjourn
