CITY OF JONESBORO
DECEMBER 22, 2006
Called Council Meeting Minutes 

The City of Jonesboro Mayor and Council held a called council meeting on Friday, December 22, 2006.  The meeting was held at 10:00 a.m. at the Jonesboro Police Station, 170 South Main Street, Jonesboro, Georgia.

            Staff Present:                Sam Durrance, Public Works Director

                                                Wayne Rowland, Interim Police Chief

Mayor Day called the meeting to order. Council approved unanimously to amend the agenda in order to consider New Business before Old Business [Motion: Maddox, 2^nd:  Mann].  Local Option Sales Tax Resolution for the City of Lake City was approved [Motion: Maddox, 2^nd: Grider. Yea: Grider, Maddox, Mann, Wiggins, Yonce.  No: Wenz] Discussion of Budget 2007 was held, and the issue was tabled unanimously until another Work Session can be held [Motion: Maddox. 2^nd: Grider].  The Probation Service Plan was unanimously approved [Motion: Maddox, 2^nd:  Wenz] 

The meeting was unanimously adjourned [Motion: Grider, 2^nd: Wiggins]. A Budget Work Session was set for Friday, December 29, 2006, at 5:00 pm at City Hall.
