CALLED COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
December 27, 2007
The City of Jonesboro Mayor Pro Tem and Council held a Called Council meeting on Thursday, December 27, 2007. The meeting was held at 5:00 p.m. at the Jonesboro Police Station, 170 South Main Street Jonesboro, Georgia.
Council Present: Rick Yonce, Mayor Pro Tem
Roger Grider, Councilmember
Bobby Wiggins, Councilmember
Billy Powell, Councilmember
Absent: Clarence Mann, Councilmember
Joy Day, Mayor
Linda Wenz, Councilmember
Staff Present: Chief Wayne Rowland-Chief of Police, Joe Nettleton-Public Works Director, Sandra Meyers-Finance Officer, and Brad Johnson-Assistant Chief of Police.
Mayor Pro Tem Rick Yonce called the meeting to order, followed the opening of the Public Hearing and request for comments or questions from the public on the 2008 budgets. There were no questions or comments and the Public Hearing was closed. The floor was opened for comment by the Council.
The Council considered agenda items one and three:

Item 3 - Motion was made to approve the 2008 budget using $33,409. to balance the General Fund. Approved. [Motion: Grider, 2nd: Powell, Vote: Yea, Grider, Powell and Yonce. No: Wiggins].
Item 1 – Motion was made to approve amending the 2007 budget by using an additional $67,108 from reserves ($120,894 total reserves to be used). Approved. [Motion: Grider, 2nd: Powell. Vote: Unanimous].
Motion was made to adjourn. [Motion: Grider, 2nd: Powell, Vote: Unanimous].
