Ed Wise

Ed Wise was born in Norfolk, VA and moved to Clayton County in 1985 and has lived in the City of Jonesboro for the past 18 years. He lives with his wife, Anne on Lee St. in Jonesboro. Mr. Wise is the father of three children with two grandsons. He is the owner of Sirens for Cities, Inc. which operates in the City of Jonesboro and is a provider of outdoor warning and severe weather detection equipment.

Mr. Wise has always been committed to the safety and security of the residents of Jonesboro and is proud to call them neighbors and friends. He donated the first outdoor warning system to the city and along with his wife, Anne; helped establish the first neighborhood watch in the city. He has always been an active participant and/or coordinator in every Christmas parade and was a volunteer firefighter in the city.

In 2004, he was the recipient of the Citizens service Award from the City of Jonesboro. Awarded Clayton County Safety Personal of the year by the Knights of Columbus in 2004, and has attended classes by the Atlanta Regional Commission on Community Planning. In 2004 he was the recipient of the Distinguished Service Award by the Jonesboro Fire Department.

Ed enjoys riding his motorcycle, offshore fishing, boating, beach time and most of all, time with family and friends.

His goals for the city is to continue to ensure the safety and security of the residents, keep the city on the current path of growth and development and help make the city more attractive for new business by improving venues and creating more events and festivals.
